Burgundy Apple Casserole

Ingredients

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Apple 4 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 4 tablespoons
  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • Egg white 4 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar 6 tablespoons
  • Salt a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the apples, remove the cores and seeds, and cut them into small cubes.

Step 2

In a saucepan, melt 75 g of butter, add the apples, and sauté over medium heat for about 10 minutes.

Step 3

Beat the eggs, add 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar, salt, sifted flour, mix very well with a whisk, and gradually add the milk while continuing to stir to avoid lumps.

Step 4

Finally, add the (cooled) apples.

Step 5

Mix everything together and pour the mixture into a baking dish greased with the remaining butter (about 15 g).

Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 30 minutes.

Step 7

Serve the pie hot or warm, sprinkled with the remaining powdered sugar.
