Burgundy Apple Casserole
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Apple 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 4 tablespoons
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Powdered Sugar 6 tablespoons
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the apples, remove the cores and seeds, and cut them into small cubes.
Step 2
In a saucepan, melt 75 g of butter, add the apples, and sauté over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Beat the eggs, add 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar, salt, sifted flour, mix very well with a whisk, and gradually add the milk while continuing to stir to avoid lumps.
Step 4
Finally, add the (cooled) apples.
Step 5
Mix everything together and pour the mixture into a baking dish greased with the remaining butter (about 15 g).
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 30 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the pie hot or warm, sprinkled with the remaining powdered sugar.
