Buns with Blue Cheese and Garlic
Baking and Desserts • Italian
Description
A warm place is around 25 degrees Celsius, without drafts.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Salt 0 oz
- Danish Blue Cheese to taste
- Parmesan Cheese to taste
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Herbes de Provence to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast in warm water and pour it into a bowl with the flour.
Step 2
Knead the dough in the bowl with a scraper until smooth, then transfer to the table and knead well again.
Step 3
Form a ball and return it to a floured bowl. Leave in a warm place for one hour to rise.
Step 4
Place the dough on the table, divide it into 2 pieces, roll them into logs, and then divide each log into 5 pieces.
Step 5
Roll small pieces into balls, place them on parchment paper greased with sunflower oil, and leave for 15 minutes, covered with a towel. Leave enough space between the balls to prevent them from sticking together.
Step 6
Make indentations in the risen balls (you can use the handle of a spoon or just your finger) and fill them: finely chopped garlic at the bottom, then cheese, and sprinkle with spices (dried basil or herbs de Provence work well here).
Step 7
Place the tray with the balls in the oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes at 430°F until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
