Brownies with Nuts
Baking and Desserts • American
Description
It is very important not to overbake the brownies! As soon as a toothpick comes out dry, you can confidently take the brownies out of the oven.
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Nuts ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Break 170 grams of chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a water bath. For this, place a bowl with chocolate over a pot of boiling water, and stir the chocolate occasionally.
Step 2
Then add the butter. Mix well.
Step 3
Add the sugar and mix everything well again until all ingredients are dissolved, then remove the bowl from the water bath.
Step 4
Add the three eggs (but to the cooled chocolate mixture!). Whisk together.
Step 5
Sift the flour with the baking powder, add it to the mixture, and stir.
Step 6
Chop the chocolate (30 grams) and nuts, add them to the batter, and mix.
Step 7
Grease the baking pan with butter, line it with parchment paper, and grease it again with a thin layer of butter (this is essential!).
Step 8
Pour the batter into the pan and level it out.
Step 9
Bake the brownies in a preheated oven at 340°F for about 35–40 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer.
Step 10
When the brownies are ready, it's best to refrigerate them for 8–12 hours. This will make them even tastier and prevent them from crumbling too much.
Step 11
After chilling, you can cut the brownies into pieces and enjoy the flavor.
