
Brownies with Cognac-Soaked Cranberries

Description
Before cutting the brownies, let them cool completely in the pan.
Ingredients
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Dried cranberries with sugar 5 oz
- Sugar ½ cup
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour ½ cup
- Cognac 5 tablespoons
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the dried cranberries in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then drain the water, gently squeezing the cranberries, and soak them in cognac for about 15 minutes.
Step 2
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a double boiler.
Step 3
Lightly beat the eggs.
Step 4
Remove the melted chocolate from heat, then add the cut-up butter and stir. Gradually pour the chocolate into the eggs and whisk well.
Step 5
Add the sifted flour, sugar, salt, and soaked cranberries to the chocolate mixture, mix, and transfer to a greased pan.
Step 6
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 390°F.
