Brownies with Cherry and Almond
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
A classic of American cuisine, a dream for chocolate lovers, and a dessert that beautifully accommodates any additions. In this recipe, I suggest using cherries and almonds.
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- 70% Dark Chocolate 5 oz
- Cherry 0 oz
- Almond 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Raw cane sugar 5 oz
- Baking Powder ½ spoons
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
First, you need to melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. To do this, heat water in a small saucepan and place a bowl over it, ensuring that the bottom of the bowl is submerged in the water. Add the cubed butter and broken chocolate to the bowl. Gently stir the melting ingredients with a whisk until the mixture is smooth and uniform. Remove from the heat.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and cocoa.
Step 3
Add the eggs to the slightly cooled chocolate mixture and whisk. Gradually incorporate the sugar-flour mixture, mixing vigorously with each addition. Fold in the cherries and almonds using a spatula.
Step 4
Line a baking pan with parchment paper, pour in the batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 20 minutes. The inside of the brownie should remain slightly moist. Once baked, cool the brownies on a wire rack and cut them into small squares for serving. You can dust them with powdered sugar and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
