Description
You can sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Walnuts 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it together with the butter in a double boiler, stirring continuously with a spatula or wooden spoon. Once you have a thick chocolate sauce, remove it from the heat and let it cool.
Step 2
In the meantime, mix the eggs with one hundred grams of brown sugar: crack the eggs into a separate bowl and beat them, gradually adding the sugar. You can use a mixer or do it by hand — whichever you prefer — but beat for no less than two and a half to three minutes.
Step 3
Chop the walnuts on a cutting board using a sharp knife. You can toast them in a dry skillet until fragrant beforehand, but this is optional.
Step 4
Gently add the remaining sugar to the cooled melted chocolate mixed with butter, then incorporate the flour and crushed nuts, and mix everything well with a whisk.
Step 5
Then, pour in the sugar and egg mixture and thoroughly mix it with the chocolate mass. The batter should have a uniform color without any streaks.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 390°F. Line the bottom of a small deep ovenproof dish with a sheet of parchment paper or baking paper. Pour the batter into the dish. Place it in the oven and bake for twenty-five to thirty minutes, until a sugary crust forms.
Step 7
Remove the finished pie from the oven, let it cool, and cut it into squares using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter for especially even pieces.
Step 8
Brownies can be served on their own, or you can dust them with powdered sugar, or arrange the squares on plates and top each serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
