Description
You can replace dates with prunes — the flavor nuances will change! If not all is eaten at once, feel free to store the sweets in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks (in a sealed container).
Ingredients
- Dates 5 oz
- Light Raisins, Seedless 5 oz
- Sunflower Seeds 1⅕ cups
- Poppy seed paste to taste
- Citrus Zest Mix to taste
- Toasted Sesame to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash and dry all ingredients.
Step 2
Remove the pits from the dates.
Step 3
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
Step 4
Pass the resulting mixture through a meat grinder or S-shaped food processor.
Step 5
Grate an orange or lemon finely, add to the ground mixture to taste. Knead well.
Step 6
Form balls or give any other shape you like. You can chill the dough beforehand.
Step 7
Roll the candies in sesame or poppy seeds — both coatings perfectly complement the main flavor of the bright halva.
