Description
Store the finished candies in the refrigerator to preserve their texture.
Ingredients
- Condensed Milk 1 can
- Cocoa Powder 3 spoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Coconut flakes 5 oz
- Unsalted peanuts, shelled 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a medium-sized saucepan with a heavy bottom, pour in all the condensed milk, add the butter and cocoa powder. Place the mixture over medium heat and, stirring constantly, cook until it thickens enough to easily pull away from the bottom and sides of the saucepan.
Step 2
Transfer the cream to a ceramic or glass dish and let it cool. Cover the dish with plastic wrap, making sure it is pressed closely against the cream to eliminate any air pockets. If you need to make the candies quickly, you can place the dish in the freezer for twenty minutes; otherwise, put it in the refrigerator for an hour. The finished cream should have a consistency similar to fudge.
Step 3
Grease your hands with a piece of butter. If you skip this step, you won't be able to shape the candies – the chocolate will smear. Take small amounts of the cream and roll them into balls using walnuts. Dip each candy into crushed pistachios or shredded coconut.
