- Salt to taste
- Water 10 fl oz
- Ground Cumin 0 oz
- Toasted Cumin Seeds 0 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Cheese Spread 10 oz
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease 3 bread pans about 20 cm long with oil and line with parchment paper.
Step 2
Rub the yeast into the flour until a uniform crumb forms. Add salt, then water. Knead the dough for 2 - 3 minutes until it starts to come together. Leave for 1 hour to rise.
Step 3
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a layer 1 cm thick.
Step 4
Mix the ground cumin with the seeds and sprinkle this mixture over the dough. Add grated cheese and press it into the dough. Fold the dough over from the top and bottom and shape it into a ball. Leave for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 3 parts, shape each into a loaf, and place in the pans. Make 5 cuts with a sharp knife. Cover with a towel and leave for 1 - 1.5 hours.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 480°F. Then reduce the heat to 410°F and spray water on the oven walls.
Step 7
Place the pans in the oven and bake for 15 – 20 minutes.
