Bread with Cheese and Meat Filling
Ingredients
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Lean Beef 15 oz
- Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 1 clove
- Unleavened dough 20 oz
- Sliced Processed Cheese 10 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil.
Step 2
Heat a skillet and brown the ground beef for a few minutes. Remove excess fat and transfer the beef to a bowl.
Step 3
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic for 1.5 minutes. Add to the beef and mix well.
Step 4
Roll out the dough and cut it into a rectangle, placing it on the baking sheet, then cut it in half. Spread the beef mixture on top and level it out. Then add a layer of cheese and roll it into 2 rolls. Pinch the edges tightly and brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining olive oil (do not place the rolls too close together to allow for rising).
Step 5
Bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Cool for 7 minutes and cut into pieces.
