Bread Charlotte with Peaches
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Canned Peaches 2 pieces
- White bread 5 slices
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Vanilla extract to taste
- Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Saffron a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven. Whisk the eggs with sugar and vanilla.
Step 2
Add milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and saffron, continue whisking.
Step 3
Trim the crusts off the bread, dip the bread into the milk-egg mixture, and arrange it in a baking dish.
Step 4
Then layer the sliced peaches on top.
Step 5
If desired, or if the dish is small, you can make several layers; if not, leave it as is and pour the remaining mixture on top.
Step 6
Bake at medium temperature (355°F) for 25 minutes.
Step 7
You can garnish with cinnamon, a few saffron threads, and powdered sugar.
