Ingredients
- Butter 0 oz
- French Baguette 1 piece
- Milk 10 fl oz
- 33% Cream 15 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Cut the baguette into small cubes to make about 4 cups, place on a baking sheet, and put in the oven for 5 minutes until the bread is crispy but not browned. Toss the croutons with softened butter and transfer to a 20x20 cm square baking dish.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Whisk well and pour into the dish. Stir, cover, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 4
Bake the pudding for 50 minutes and serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup or berry jam.
