Bread and Butter Pudding
Ingredients
- Grand Marnier Liqueur 1 tablespoon
- Stale Bread 5 oz
- Light Raisins, Seedless 2 tablespoons
- Fruit Marmalade 2½ pieces
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Brown Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Milk 15 fl oz
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the raisins in a bowl, add the liqueur, mix, and let sit for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 320°F.
Step 2
Trim the crusts off the bread and spread 1.5 tablespoons of marmalade on each slice. Cut each slice into 4 triangles. Grease a baking dish and layer the bread, sprinkling raisins between each layer.
Step 3
Beat together the eggs, sugar, milk, and vanilla. Pour the mixture over the bread and let sit for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Place the dish on a baking tray and fill with water halfway. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Brush with the remaining marmalade and let sit for 10 minutes.
