Brazilian Quindim
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee 10 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Whole egg 6 pieces
- Sugar 5 oz
- Lime Juice 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour (in Brazil, coconut flakes are often used - you can use them) with the sweetened condensed milk, add the egg yolks and lime juice, and mix well again. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Meanwhile, grease disposable molds with butter and dust them with sugar.
Step 3
Distribute the mixture into the molds, filling them 2/3 full, and place them in a larger baking dish, adding some water (up to 2/3 of the molds) so that the dessert cooks in a water bath. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 355°F.
Step 4
Allow the dessert to cool; you can place it in the refrigerator for better soaking.
