Ingredients
- Light Raisins, Seedless 10 oz
- Red Currant 5 oz
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Light Raisins, Seedless 10 oz
- Ground dried cherries 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Brandy 3 tablespoons
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Spices 2 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large pot, combine the dried fruits, almonds, cherries, sugar, butter, brandy, and 250 ml of water. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 320°F. Grease a pie dish with butter.
Step 3
Lightly beat the eggs and add them to the fruit mixture, then sift in the flour and spices. Mix everything together quickly and carefully; do not use a mixer. Transfer the mixture to the dish and smooth it out with wet fingers. Wrap the dish in newspaper on the outside and place it on several more sheets. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until done. Cool in the dish, covered with a towel. If not consuming immediately, transfer to a container.
