Boiled cottage cheese pudding with figs
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese 30 oz
- Sugar ½ cup
- Farm fresh eggs 5 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 teaspoons
- Green Figs 4 pieces
- Honey to taste
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Press fresh cottage cheese through a sieve. Beat in the eggs, add sugar and softened butter (100 g).
Step 2
Add sifted flour to the cottage cheese mixture.
Step 3
Grease a cloth napkin with 1 teaspoon of butter, place the dough in it and roll it into a log, tying it with string. Boil in slightly salted water for 1 hour.
Step 4
Remove the log from the water and let it drain and cool. Cut into slices about 3 fingers high.
Step 5
Heat the remaining butter in a skillet and fry the slices until golden brown on both sides.
Step 6
Serve the puddings warm, with fresh figs and honey.
