Blue panna cotta
Ingredients
- 10% cream 15 fl oz
- Vanilla Pod 1 piece
- Gelatin 3 pieces
- Red Food Coloring to taste
- Sugar 5 oz
- Blackberry to taste
- Blackberry to taste
- Fresh Mint to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the gelatin in cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Extract the seeds from the vanilla pod and place both the seeds and the pod in a saucepan. Pour in the cream, add sugar, bring the mixture to a boil, and then remove it from the heat.
Step 3
Gently squeeze out the excess water from the soaked gelatin and add it to the hot cream. Also, add a small amount of blue food coloring, just enough to turn the cream blue or blueish. Mix well until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Strain the cream through a sieve to remove the pod and any lumps of gelatin. Pour into molds greased with vegetable oil and refrigerate until set. Garnish the finished panna cotta with berries and mint.
