Biscotti with Raisins and Walnuts
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Raisins 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the softened butter with sugar. Add vanilla and eggs, and mix thoroughly. Then, add the flour with baking powder and knead the dough. Fold in the walnuts and raisins. With wet hands, shape the dough into two logs about 8 cm wide.
Step 2
Place the logs on a greased baking sheet and send them to the oven. Bake for 25 minutes at 355°F. Then, remove the logs, let them cool slightly, and cut diagonally into slices 1–1.5 cm thick.
Step 3
Place the slices back on the baking sheet and return to the oven. Bake the biscotti with raisins and walnuts for another 10 minutes, flipping them once to the other side.
