Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 2 cups
  • Ground Black Pepper 2 teaspoons
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
  • Salted Butter 1½ tablespoons
  • Sugar 1¼ cups
  • Large eggs 2 pieces
  • Egg white 2 pieces
  • Green Figs 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 355°F.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the flour, black pepper, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs, egg whites, and sugar. Then add the softened butter. Combine both mixtures and fold in the finely chopped figs.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 2 parts and shape into 2 logs on a floured surface. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool slightly.

Step 4

Slice diagonally into small pieces and place back on the baking sheet. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes, flipping once. Cool on a wire rack.
