Berry Pie with Strawberries
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Strawberry 10 oz
- Grated Lemon Zest ½ teaspoon
- Chili jam 5 oz
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, a pinch of salt, and lemon zest to form a dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 2
Wash the strawberries in cool water, dry them, and slice them. Roll out the dough, line a baking dish (ideally round) with it, and create edges.
Step 3
Prick the dough with a fork, spread 1/3 of the strawberry jam, and layer the sliced strawberries on top. Bake for 25 minutes at 390°F.
Step 4
Mix the remaining jam with 0.5 tablespoons of water and bring to a boil. Remove the pie from the oven, brush it with the jam, and sprinkle with almonds.
