Berry Pie in a Slow Cooker
Baking and Desserts • Russian
Description
You can use other berries instead of black currants, but if they are sour (like red currants, for example), it's advisable to slightly increase the amount of sugar.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Red Currant 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Cottage cheese 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Mash the cottage cheese with the eggs and 75 grams of sugar using a fork.
Step 3
Rub the flour with the butter using your hands until the mixture resembles crumbs.
Step 4
Add sugar, salt, and baking powder to the flour and butter, and mix well.
Step 5
Place two wide strips of baking paper in a cross pattern at the bottom of the multicooker bowl.
Step 6
Add ⅔ of the flour mixture to the bowl.
Step 7
Spread the cottage cheese mixture on top.
Step 8
Sprinkle the currants on top (if the berries are thawed, it's better to coat them in starch first).
Step 9
Sprinkle the remaining flour mixture on top. Close the multicooker and set it to the "Bake" mode for 50 minutes (or set the temperature to 300°F).
Step 10
Allow the finished pie to cool in the dish by placing it on a wire rack.
Step 11
Serve the berry pie with tea.
