Beer Cookies
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
You can also roll the cookies in powdered sugar only after baking, while they are still hot. Instead of powdered sugar, you can use a salty sprinkle, making them a great snack to accompany beer.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 3 cups
- Beer 1 cup
- Margarine 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Add a package of margarine to the flour and crumble it until it turns into fine crumbs. It's convenient to do this with a knife to keep your hands clean.
Step 2
Add the cup of beer and knead the dough.
Step 3
Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour (unfortunately, this is a necessary step).
Step 4
Roll the dough into thin layers, cutting it into small diamonds, squares, or circles.
Step 5
Dip each cookie in sugar and place them on a baking sheet with the sugared side up. There's no need to grease the baking sheet, as the dough already contains plenty of margarine.
Step 6
Bake at 430°F until the cookies are golden brown (this happens quite quickly), about 20 minutes. VOILA. Enjoy!
