Banana Tart with Coffee Cream

Ingredients

  • Whole egg 0 oz
  • Condensed Milk 5 oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons
  • Bananas 2 pieces
  • 10% cream 5 fl oz
  • Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 5 oz
  • Instant coffee 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Coffee 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

For the dough, cut the butter into small pieces and place it in a blender bowl, add the flour, and blend until it resembles fine crumbs.

Step 2

Add sugar.

Step 3

Transfer the crumb mixture to a bowl, add the egg, and gather the dough into a ball. Do NOT knead for too long or thoroughly, otherwise the dough will become tough when baked.

Step 4

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 170–355°F.

Step 6

On a floured surface, roll out the dough according to the size of your tart pan. Roll the dough onto a rolling pin and place it in the pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Baking time can be adjusted depending on your oven.

Step 7

Allow the tart base to cool.

Step 8

For the filling, peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds (0.5–0.7 cm).

Step 9

Spread a layer of condensed milk on the cooled base, smooth it out, and arrange the banana slices beautifully, slightly overlapping each other.

Step 10

For the cream, whip the cream, mascarpone, powdered sugar, and instant coffee separately into a fluffy mass, being careful not to overbeat!

Step 11

Spread the cream over the bananas, smooth it out, and sprinkle with ground coffee (alternatively, you can use cocoa, cinnamon, or omit this step altogether).

Step 12

Place the tart in the refrigerator overnight. After sitting in the fridge overnight, this tart becomes much tastier, as all the ingredients exchange flavors and achieve the final consistency and taste.
