Baking and Desserts • American
Description
The pie can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for no more than 2 days.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2½ glasses
- Salt ½ spoons
- Butter 5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 1 glass
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Bananas 3 pieces
- Vanilla extract 1 tablespoon
- Natural Yogurt 0,7 glasses
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Ground Cinnamon ½ spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease the bottom and sides of the pie dish with butter and lightly dust with flour.
Step 2
Blend three medium-sized ripe bananas until smooth.
Step 3
Mix the flour with baking soda and salt.
Step 4
Beat the butter with 3/4 cup of sugar on medium speed until well combined. Then, add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat after each addition. Once the mixture is fluffy, fold in the banana puree, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
Step 5
Pour the egg-banana mixture into the flour and mix thoroughly with a mixer on low speed.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, combine the coarsely chopped chocolate (70% cocoa), crushed nuts, cinnamon, melted butter, and the remaining sugar. Divide the mixture into 2 equal parts.
Step 7
Place half of the dough into a baking dish. Sprinkle the top with a chocolate-nut mixture, add a second layer of dough, and again sprinkle with chocolate crumbs and nuts.
Step 8
Place the pie in an oven preheated to 375°F. Bake on the middle rack until golden brown (about 35-40 minutes). Allow to cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely.
