Baked Plums with Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • Plums 6 pieces
  • Sugar 6 teaspoons
  • Red Grape Juice 10 fl oz
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Star anise 1 piece
  • Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Clove 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220–480°F (if you have a grill function in your oven, it's better to turn it on).

Step 2

Wash the plums, cut them in half, and remove the pit. Pour the wine over them and let sit for 30 minutes. Place in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Dot the plums with small pieces of butter and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of sugar on top. Bake until the plums are soft but not falling apart.

Step 3

Pour the wine in which the plums were marinated into a saucepan. Add the spices and sugar. Place over heat and stir constantly. The sauce should thicken.

Step 4

Serve the plums drizzled with the sauce, accompanied by vanilla ice cream.
