Baked Pies with Onion and Egg
Ingredients
- Kefir 10 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs 6 pieces
- Safflower Oil 5 fl oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Scallions 1 bunch
- Wheat Flour 25 oz
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Egg white 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Warm the milk slightly, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and the yeast.
Step 2
Stir, cover with a towel, and place in a warm place for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Warm the kefir and 100 ml of vegetable oil, then pour into the bowl where the dough will be kneaded.
Step 4
Add 2 eggs.
Step 5
To the kefir mixture, add salt, pour in the yeast mixture, and mix well. Then sift the flour and knead the dough.
Step 6
Cover the finished dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. The dough should rise well.
Step 7
Boil 4 eggs, chop finely. Mix the chopped green onion with the eggs and season with salt to taste. Form a small patty from the dough and place the egg filling in the center.
Step 8
Pinch the edges of the dough to form a pie.
Step 9
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with sunflower oil. Place the pies on the sheet with some space between them.
Step 10
Brush each pie with egg yolk on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 20–25 minutes until a golden crust forms.
Step 11
Serve at the table.
