Baked pears with dried fruits and sour cream

Ingredients

  • Apple Cider Vinegar 5 fl oz
  • Brown Sugar 3 tablespoons
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Bartlett Pear 3 pieces
  • Ground dried cherries 5 oz
  • Pitted Wild Apricots ¾ cup
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Sour Cream 3 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Remove the cores from the pears and cut each into 8 pieces. Cut the lemon zest into thin strips. Squeeze the juice from half of the lemon.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 390°F.

Step 3

In a 23x33 cm baking dish, mix the vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and softened butter. Add the pears, cherries, prunes, and lemon zest. Drizzle with lemon juice and mix.

Step 4

Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.

Step 5

Then remove the foil, stir, and bake for another 20–25 minutes until soft and golden.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whip the sour cream with the remaining tablespoon of sugar.

Step 7

Transfer the fruits to a serving dish and garnish with the sour cream.
