Baked pears with dried cherries and chocolate sauce
Ingredients
- Bartlett Pear 4 pieces
- Ground dried cherries ½ cup
- Light Corn Syrup 2 tablespoons
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Cream (40%) ¾ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Peel the pears, cut them in half lengthwise, and remove the cores. Place them in a baking dish cut side down, sprinkle with cherries, and drizzle with ¼ cup of water. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven until soft for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, make the chocolate sauce. In a saucepan, combine the corn syrup and broken chocolate. Place over low heat and stir for 2–3 minutes. Then remove from heat and stir in the cream until smooth.
Step 4
Serve the pears with cherries on serving plates and drizzle with warm chocolate sauce.
