  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Grated Ginger Root ½ teaspoon
  • Ground Nutmeg 0.1 teaspoon
  • Ground clove 0.1 teaspoon
  • Bartlett Pear 4 pieces
  • Cream (40%) 3 tablespoons
  • Frozen Raspberries 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Step 2

Peel the pears, cut them in half, and remove the cores.

Step 3

In an ovenproof skillet, mix the butter, sugar, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Place the pears cut side down and cover with foil. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until soft, flipping once.

Step 4

Spoon the pears onto plates.

Step 5

Bring the syrup in the skillet to a boil over medium heat. Add the cream and let it thicken slightly, about one minute. Then stir in the raspberries and drizzle the sauce over the pears.
