Ingredients
- Pecan 1 cup
- Brown Sugar ¼ cup
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
- Cinnamon 4 pieces
- Crabapples 4 pieces
- Vanilla Ice Cream 0 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Spread the nuts on a baking sheet and toast until golden brown, about 3–5 minutes. Let cool.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the sugar, lemon juice, and ¼ cup of water.
Step 3
Cut the apples in half lengthwise (from stem to bottom) and remove the cores. Immediately transfer them to the syrup to prevent browning.
Step 4
Then place the apples cut side down in a baking dish and pour the syrup over them. Add the cinnamon sticks nearby and cover the dish with foil. Bake until tender, about 15–20 minutes.
Step 5
Serve the apples in dessert bowls with scoops of ice cream, topped with nuts and drizzled with the syrup from the dish. You can garnish with cinnamon sticks.
