Australian Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- Rice 10 oz
- Water 15 fl oz
- Raisins 5 oz
- Fig 5 oz
- Dates 5 oz
- Sugar to taste
- Grated Ginger Root to taste
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Grapefruits to taste
- Egg white 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice in water for 10 minutes. Finely chop the raisins, figs, and dates, mix with ginger powder, and then with the boiled rice, adding sugar.
Step 2
Simmer on very low heat, pour in a glass of milk. Allow the pudding to cool, then fold in the whipped egg whites, and place it in a bowl previously rinsed with cold water. Refrigerate.
Step 3
Before serving, invert the pudding onto a plate and decorate the surface with fresh or cooked fruits.
