Description
An Australian meat pie, where the filling is spiced up with ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.
Ingredients
- Lean Beef 0 lbs
- Puff Pastry 30 oz
- Wheat Flour 3 spoons
- Onion 1 head
- Campbell's Beef Broth 5 fl oz
- Ketchup 0 oz
- Worcestershire Sauce 2 spoons
- Oregano ½ spoons
- Nutmeg a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Safflower Oil 4 spoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Chop the onion.
Step 3
Heat a skillet with sunflower oil.
Step 4
Sauté the onion with the ground beef until the onion turns golden brown.
Step 5
Add the broth and ketchup.
Step 6
Add Worcestershire sauce, pepper, oregano, and nutmeg. Sauté for 15 minutes.
Step 7
Mix the flour with 25 ml of water until smooth, then incorporate it into the meat mixture. Allow to cool.
Step 8
Grease the pastry sheets and the mold with oil and egg, then pour the meat mixture into the mold with the pastry.
Step 9
Cover with the second half of the dough and place in the oven preheated to 430°F for 15 minutes.
Step 10
Then reduce the temperature to 180°C and bake for another 25 minutes.
