Asian Shrimp Soup
Ingredients
- Cilantro ⅓ g
- Chicken Broth 10 oz
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- King Prawns 15 oz
- Coconut Milk 5 fl oz
- Grated Ginger Root 1 teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice ½ piece
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion ½ g
- Soy Sauce 2 teaspoons
- Honey 1 teaspoon
- Sesame Oil ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour coconut milk and cream into the broth. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Finely chop the carrot and bell pepper. Remove seeds from the chili pepper and slice it into thin half-rings. Finely chop the onion and ginger (about 2 rings if fresh, or add 1 teaspoon of ground ginger later).
Step 3
Peel the shrimp and dry them on a paper towel.
Step 4
In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil, add sesame oil and honey, and quickly sauté the shrimp.
Step 5
When the shrimp are golden, add the vegetables, chili pepper, and ginger. Add soy sauce and mix well.
Step 6
Finely chop the cilantro and add it to the skillet. Check the broth for salt.
Step 7
Pour the broth into a bowl and add the shrimp with vegetables in the center.
