Ingredients
- Pitted Wild Apricots 25 oz
- Butter 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
- Milk 0 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs 6 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash, pit, and cut the apricots in half, then place them in a deep skillet greased with butter, cut side down. Sprinkle each layer with sugar.
Step 2
Lightly beat the eggs, mix with salt, the remaining sugar, milk, and vanilla. Pour over the apricots.
Step 3
Cook in a double boiler at 355°F for about 20 minutes. The custard should be firm but not dry.
