Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 1.3 cups
  • Sugar 0.6 cups
  • Ground Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
  • Salt ½ teaspoon
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Whole egg 2 pieces
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Apricot Jam ½ cup
  • Chopped almonds ¾ cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Line a rectangular baking dish with foil, allowing some to hang over the edges, and grease the top with butter.

Step 2

In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the butter cut into small pieces and mix well again. Add the egg yolks and vanilla, and mix for another 30 seconds.

Step 3

Press three-quarters of the dough into the dish, smoothing it out, then spread the apricot jam evenly on top. Crumble the remaining dough over the jam and sprinkle with walnuts.

Step 4

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top. Allow to cool slightly and cut into small rectangles.
