Ingredients
- Apple 8 pieces
- Red Grape Juice 15 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Cinnamon 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine the sugar and wine in a large pot, add a cinnamon stick, bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for half an hour. The wine should barely be boiling during the cooking process.
Step 2
Take eight apples — they should be firm and not too large. Remove the cores and place them in an oven preheated to 355°F for ten minutes.
Step 3
Remove the wine from the heat, add the apples, and let them sit together for half an hour, turning them occasionally if the wine does not completely cover the apples.
Step 4
Remove the apples, strain the wine sauce, pour it into a saucepan, and reduce it until thickened. When serving, drizzle the sauce over the apples.
