Description

Apples can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry 20 oz
  • Sugar ¾ cup
  • Apple 7 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the puff pastry. On a floured board, roll out the pastry to a thickness of ½ cm and cut it into squares large enough to wrap around an apple.

Step 2

Wash the apples, core them, fill the hollow with sugar, place them on the pastry squares, then fold the edges together, sprinkle with sugar, and place on a baking sheet moistened with water. For decoration, place a thin piece of pastry cut into the shape of a leaf or star on each apple, brush it with egg, and place in a hot oven.

Step 3

After 10–15 minutes, when the pastry is golden brown on top, reduce the heat and continue baking for another 8–10 minutes.

Step 4

Carefully remove the finished apples from the sheet with a thin knife blade and place them on a plate or dish, dusting with powdered sugar.
