Apple-Walnut Bread
Ingredients
- Cider 10 fl oz
- Applesauce 10 fl oz
- Large eggs 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
- Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
- Ground clove 0.1 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
Step 2
In a saucepan, bring the cider to a boil until it reduces to 60 ml; let it cool.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together the applesauce, eggs, oil, brown sugar, zest, and cider.
Step 4
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves into the bowl.
Step 5
Add the walnuts and mix to form a wet batter, stirring until all ingredients are combined.
Step 6
Pour the batter into a well-greased 8 ½ x 4 ½ inch loaf pan.
Step 7
Bake in the middle of the oven for 1 hour or until a tester comes out clean.
Step 8
Let the bread cool in the pan.
