Apple Vortuta
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2½ cups
- Butter 0 oz
- Sour Cream 10 oz
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Apple 30 oz
- Sugar 4 tablespoons
- Ground Cinnamon to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter, add flour, sour cream, and vanilla sugar. Knead the dough and refrigerate for 2–3 hours.
Step 2
Finely chop the apples, add 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, cinnamon (honey can also be added), mix, and let sit for 20 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out into pancakes, place the filling, and roll up into a log.
Step 4
Sprinkle the logs on the baking sheet with the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 355°F and bake for 35–40 minutes.
