Apple Tzimmes with Rice
Ingredients
- Rice 5 oz
- Apple 4 pieces
- Raisins 0 oz
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Lemon 1 piece
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the rice until fluffy. Cut the apples into wedges. Grate the lemon zest. In a pot, pour a small amount of hot water over the apples and bring to a boil. Then add the rice, raisins, butter, zest, sugar, and a little salt.
Step 2
Simmer covered on low heat for a maximum of 10 minutes. Serve either hot or cold.
