Description

Apple strudel with raisins and cinnamon

Ingredients

  • Apple 25 oz
  • Puff Pastry 20 oz
  • Brown Sugar 2 tablespoons
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds 5 oz
  • Raisins 5 oz
  • Brandy 2 tablespoons
  • Breadcrumbs 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

For the filling, wash the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core, and slice them thinly. In a skillet, melt the butter, add the apples, sugar, pour in the brandy, and simmer over medium heat until all the liquid evaporates. Mix the apples with the blanched raisins, ground almonds, and cinnamon. Place the filling on the pastry.

Step 2

Lightly roll out the pastry in one direction into a rectangular shape.

Step 3

Sprinkle with ground breadcrumbs, leaving the edges of the pastry uncoated (1 cm).

Step 4

Place the prepared filling and carefully roll it into a log, pinching the edges.

Step 5

Place the strudel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with melted butter or water, and put it in a preheated oven at 200–410°F. Bake for 30–40 minutes.

Step 6

Once the strudel is ready, brush it again with butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
