
Apple Scones with Lemon

Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Apple 1 piece
- Citrus Zest Mix to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt.
Step 2
Combine the cold butter with the flour until crumbly.
Step 3
Add the sugar and milk. Quickly knead the dough.
Step 4
Add the apples (finely chopped) and lemon zest.
Step 5
On a baking sheet (greased), place the dough in small shaped scones. Brush ONLY the tops with milk (to help them rise).
Step 6
Bake at 430°F (depending on the oven) for 15 minutes. Serve warm with jam.
