Apple Scones
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Salt a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon
- Apple 1 piece
- Butter 0 oz
- Milk ¼ teaspoon
- Vinegar essence 5 fl oz
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Egg white 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour with baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
Step 2
Add sugar and mix well.
Step 3
Add vinegar to the milk and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Step 4
Add pieces of cold butter to the flour mixture and rub everything together until crumbly. Finely chop the apple.
Step 5
Add milk and egg to the flour mixture and quickly knead the dough.
Step 6
Fold in the apples and shape into scones.
Step 7
Place on a baking tray.
Step 8
Brush each scone with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Step 9
Bake at 390°F for 35–40 minutes.
