Description

Apple puff pastries dusted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry 10 oz
  • Sugar 3 spoons
  • Apple 2 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the apples into quarters and remove any inedible parts. Slice them into thin wedges about 2 mm thick.

Step 2

Pour 200 ml of water into a pot and bring it to a boil. Add sugar.

Step 3

Place the apple wedges in boiling water.

Step 4

Boil for no more than 2-3 minutes, then drain the water (the apples should become tender).

Step 5

Roll out the thawed dough thinly (1–2 mm in thickness). Cut it into strips 3 cm wide and 25–30 cm long.

Step 6

Place 5 slices of apple on the strip of dough, slightly overlapping. The slices should extend about one third beyond the top edge of the dough.

Step 7

Carefully roll the strip into a tube.

Step 8

Fold the bottom edges of the dough inward.

Step 9

Place the finished rose-shaped pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put them in a preheated oven at 390°F. Bake for about 30 minutes.

Step 10

Allow the pastries to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar using a sieve.
