Apple Pie without Milk and Eggs
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Semolina 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Ground Cinnamon to taste
- Butter 5 oz
- Apple 5 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour, add the baking powder, mix with semolina and sugar, and stir well.
Step 2
Peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Line the baking dish with parchment paper and grease it with butter.
Step 4
Pour a layer of dry dough on the bottom of the dish, about 1/3, and level it out.
Step 5
Place half of the apples on top and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
Step 6
Then add another layer of dry dough, the second half of the apples, and a layer of dry dough on top (it should completely cover the apples). The number of layers can vary depending on the height of the dish.
Step 7
Grate the well-chilled butter on a coarse grater and distribute it evenly in a good layer over the entire surface of the pie. (I slice it thinly and place it on top).
Step 8
Bake in a preheated oven at 190-200°C for about 45 minutes, until the pie is covered with a golden crust.
Step 9
Cool the pie in the dish, then carefully remove it!! (I use a silicone mold), the pie may be fragile while hot. Let the pie sit. The next day, the pie is even tastier!
