Ingredients
- Pickled Apples 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Sour Cream 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour with the baking powder into a large bowl, add diced butter. Rub with your fingers until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 2
Add the sour cream and quickly knead into a pliable dough. Do not knead too long, as this may result in a tough dough once baked. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Prepare the filling. Whip the sour cream with sugar, egg, and flour until the sugar dissolves.
Step 4
Peel the apples, remove the cores. Slice them thinly, place in a bowl, and drizzle with the juice of half a lemon. Mix well. This is necessary to prevent the apples from browning too soon.
Step 5
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and line a greased baking dish with it, forming edges.
Step 6
Place the apples on the dough and pour the sour cream mixture over them.
Step 7
Put the dish in a preheated oven at 355°F and bake for about 45–50 minutes.
