Apple Pie with Semolina
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 cup
- Semolina 3 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Apple 5 pieces
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Butter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Transfer the butter from the freezer to the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, peel the apples, cut them into pieces, and you can soak them in alcohol.
Step 3
Mix the flour, baking powder, semolina, sugar, and almonds.
Step 4
Grate the butter on a coarse grater, add it to the dry mixture, and mix until crumbly. Add the egg.
Step 5
Transfer 2/3 of the crumbs to a greased baking dish, layer the apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and top with the remaining crumbs.
Step 6
Bake for 45–50 minutes in a preheated oven at 355°F.
