Apple Pie with Buttermilk
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Buttermilk 10 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Citric Acid 1 teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
- Apple 3 pieces
- Cinnamon to taste
- Powdered Sugar to taste
- Butter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Cream softened margarine or butter with sugar and egg. You can use a mixer.
Step 3
Add buttermilk to the whipped mixture and mix until smooth, gradually adding the flour and baking powder mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly to avoid lumps.
Step 4
Pour the dough into a round baking pan, previously greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs or semolina. I used a silicone mold, so I just poured it in. Smooth the dough out.
Step 5
Peel the apples and cut them into large wedges. Arrange them on the surface of the dough. Sprinkle the arranged apples with a pinch of cinnamon and sugar.
