Apple jelly with melon and watermelon balls
Ingredients
- Cantaloupe 5 lbs
- Watermelon 0 lbs
- Apple juice with pulp 25 fl oz
- Water 10 fl oz
- Honey 2.5 tablespoons
- Agar-Agar 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Using a round spoon, scoop out many small balls from the melon and watermelon — you should have about 8 cups. Transfer to a rectangular dish.
Step 2
In a saucepan, bring water, apple juice, and agar-agar to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until fully dissolved for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add honey. Let cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Pour the mixture over the watermelon and melon balls and refrigerate until set.
Step 4
Invert the jelly onto a plate, having held the mold in hot water beforehand. Serve immediately.
