Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
- Sugar to taste
- Apple 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dough. Rub the butter (about 120 grams) with the flour. Crack the egg, add the powdered sugar, and while adding one tablespoon of water at a time, knead the dough. If necessary, add more flour. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Filling. Cut the apples into small cubes (about 4 medium apples) and sauté in butter with sugar until soft. Add about 30 grams of butter and sugar to taste, depending on how tart the apples are.
Step 3
Crumble: 20 grams of flour (or a little more), 20 grams of sugar, 20 grams of butter. Rub the flour and butter together by hand to make a crumble, then add the sugar and mix.
Step 4
Roll the dough into a circle about 0.5 cm thick. Place the filling, leaving a 1.5 cm border at the edge. Fold the edges over. Sprinkle the crumble on top.
Step 5
Bake at 355°F for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
